In the morning of your Machu Picchu tour, you will be transported to the train station in Ollantaytambo to catch a scenic train to Aguas Calientes, which takes approximately 1.5 hours. The journey offers stunning views as the landscape shifts from highlands to cloud forest, featuring snow-capped mountains, villages, and farms along the way.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will meet you at the train station for a bus ride to Machu Picchu. Prepare for an overwhelming surge of emotion as you catch your first glimpse of this remarkable ancient site.
Your guide will then offer a detailed tour of Machu Picchu’s rich culture and history. You will visit the main temple, the Temple of the Condor, the Inca King’s Palace, the stone quarry, the solar observatory, terraces, and more.
